At such a young age István Várdai is already considered one of the leading cellists on the world stage.
He won first prize at the Geneva International competition in 2008 along with three other special prizes. He is also a prizewinner of the Tchaikovsky competition, Feuermann competition, Popper competition and in 2014 he won ARD Competition in Munich. He plays with the leading orchestras in the world and plays chamber music with renowned musical partners. Várdai also teaches at the Kronberg Academy alongside very distinguished colleagues and plays the ex – du Pré Stradivari cello.
Winner of the 2017 Concours Musical International de Montréal for piano and recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, Zoltán Fejérvári has appeared in recitals throughout Europe and the United States in prestigious venues. He has performed as a soloist with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Hungarian National Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra among others. He is invited regularly to Chamber music festivals like Marlboro, Kaposvar and Prussia Cove where he performs with the most distinguished musicians.
