Shani Diluka was discovered at the age of six by a programme initiated by Princess Grace of Monaco for gifted children. She was admitted to a specialized class at the Academy Prince Rainier III and gave her first public recital at the age of nine and at age ten, a report on her talent was telecast by the French channel The FR2. At the age of twelve, she appeared on the first half of a concert with Hélène Grimaud at the Acropolis in Nice. The same year she benefited from the precious advice and encouragements from Mr. Lawrence Foster. At the age of sixteen, she performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte Carlo.
Shani subsequently studied at the Paris Conservatoire and currently enjoys an enviable international career. Her recordings of the Grieg Concerto and Mendelssohn piano works have won many awards. Currently, she is recording the complete Beethoven piano concertos and receives special coaching from Murray Perahia.
She has also performed as a soloist with a number of renowned orchestras and as a chamber musician she has collaborated with musicians such as Prazak Quartet, Ysäye Quartet, Ebene Quartet, Valentin Erben of the Alban Berg Quartet, or with the legendary Teresa Berganza and Natalie Dessay.
