Classical and Jazz Music
Mazda Hall at 7 pm (Free Admittance)
Jamal Moqadem’s and Eric le Chartier’s collaboration is a long-lasting one as they once studied together and then decided to put their work together to create a further dimension. Both had a classical training but are very much interested in improvised forms of music and especially jazz, so they developed a double faceted project, drawing from French music written for the trombone and from well-known jazz pieces written for the piano and trombone.
They are equally interested in teaching and in promoting intercultural exchanges. The organizers can thus envisage some master classes, workshops with music students or dialogues with local musicians.
In association with the Alliance Francaise de Poona.
