In a programme of Russian folk music and Bach: Toccata in D Minor; Vivaldi: Concerto ‘Spring’ from ‘The Seasons’ and G. Sviridov: Romance of the musical illustrations to the novel by Alexander Pushkin’s Snowstorm
The talented and prolific ensemble Russkiye Umeltsy consists of 5 musicians, Ekaterina Suslova, Evgeniya Popova, Irina Kuznetsova, Alexey Vorobev and Pavel Lukoyanov. All members are winners of international and national level competitions. They perform extensive repertoire of Russian folk and classical music, combining traditional Russian musical instruments such as domra (mandolin), harp, balalaika and bayan (button accordion).
