Arties festival returns in its 15th edition in March 2015, as usual, with masterpieces and lesser known music, including some charming transcriptions.
Hugues Borsarello is a violinist par excellence known for his combination of virtuosity and elegance. He performs as soloist and chamber musician all over France and Europe, and his recording of the complete Mozart violin concertos has been recently released on Arties Records.
Marie Chilemme is in great demand as a chamber musician and soloist and is considered one of the foremost young French violists. After studying in France, she studied with Tabea Zimmermann in Berlin. Currently, Marie is the violist of the Quatuor Cavatine.
Aude Giuliano started playing accordion at age 5. She has won world accordion championships in Italy and Germany. She plays accordion in many classical compositions replacing the harmonium and has done concert tours all over Europe, South America and South east Asia.
Audrey Vigoureux, pianist, is a new addition to the Arties family. After studying in France she went on to study in Geneva with Sébastien Risler. She has won numerous awards and prizes and shot to fame after replacing a pianist at short notice to perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano concerto No. 1.
Gauthier Herrmann needs no introduction in India. He is the entrepreneur- musician who is the Artistic director of Arties festival. He won first prize in cello from the Paris Conservatoire and since then has embarked on a journey to establish Arties festival in different parts of the world. A cellist passionately turned towards chamber music, he has travelled the globe for over ten years in the company of his family – the merry band of Arties musicians brought together by great musical repertoire and loyalty to each other. He has won numerous prizes and plays a Benoit Fleury instrument of 1754, belonging to a private sponsor.
