Fiorenza Mercatali started to study as a soprano when she was sixteen with the soprano Mariangela Cafaro and then with the alto Bernadette Manca di Nissa and the tenor William Matteuzzi, her actually teacher. During her studies, she attended Masterclasses with William Matteuzzi and Bernadette Manca di Nissa. In April 2017, she sang in a concert in the Concert Hall of ‘Ogòlnoksztalcaca Szkola Muzyczna’ in Lodz (Poland). In February 2019, she sang the role of Rosina in a concert version of Giovanni Paisiello’s ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’ at the National Centre for the Performing Arts – NCPA (Beijing, China) under Richard Baker and in the same year in Teatro dei Rinnovati (Siena, Italy) under Angelo Michele Errico. In August 2020, she sang the role of Serpina in ‘La Serva padrona’ of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi in Piazza Jacopo della Quercia in Siena, under Bernat Gerard Quetglas Torellò. She graduated in July 2020 as Master of ‘Solo Cello’ from Conservatorio Statale di musica O. Respighi di Latina, Italy. In July 2022, she sang in the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Paris with the pianist Francesco De Poli, in Gorizia for the Piccolo Opera Festival with the pianist Ferdinando Mussutto and in Siena in Piazza del Campo with the orchestra La Toscanini under conductor Matteo Parmegiani. In November 2022, she performed in Istanbul and in Kuwait and she now makes her debut in India.
Gianandrea Navacchia, studied singing with Kelly McClendon and William Matteuzzi, his reference teacher who still follows him and with whom he perfected at the Chigiana Academy of Siena for three consecutive years. In 2013, he made his debut as a soloist at the Rossini Theater in Lugo with the Orchestra Città di Ferrara under the direction of Carlo Argelli. He participated as a baritone in the ‘Lirica Oggi’ program conducted by the soprano Wilma Vernocchi for the studies of Teleromagna. Winner of the Cesena First Stage Competition in 2016, he made his debut in 2016 at the Bonci Theater in Cesena in the role of Count d’Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro by W. A. Mozart under the direction of Claudio Desderi directed by Matelda Cappelletti. Winner in the same year of the City of Ferrara Opera Competition, he made his debut in April 2017, in the role of Papageno in Die Zauberflöte by W. A. Mozart at the Teatro Comunale C. Abbado in Ferrara. Since then, he has made his debut in many operatic roles: in the Baroque repertoire, he made his debut in Orfeo and Caronte in L’Orfeo by C. Monteverdi at the MITO Festival and many others. In the sacred repertoire he sang numerous masses and oratorios, from Monteverdi to Britten. His chamber music repertoire is also extensive, including music by Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Fauré, Wagner, Strauss, Mahler, Ravel, Britten, Tchaikovsky, Dallapiccola and Tosti.
Francesco De Poli is an Italian pianist and baritone. He obtained the highest grade in Singing degree. He is perfected, for singing, with M° William Matteuzzi. He then worked for a Master’s degree in Vocal Chamber Music at the Consevatory
‘F. Venezze’ of Rovigo, under the guidance of Prof. Patrizia Greco 110/110 praise and Honorable Mention. In the meantime, he obtained a Piano degree, graduating with honours, under the guidance of M° Paolo Ballarin at the Conservatory ‘F. Venezze’ of Rovigo. As pianist, he specialized following several master classes with teachers such as Andrea Carcano, Sven Birch, Jean-Pierre Armengaud. He studied as Répétiteur at Scuola dell’ Opera of Teatro Comunale in Bologna, participating in master classes with several professionals, including Fiorenza Cedolins, José Cura, Paolo Coni, Ileana Cotrubas, Antonello Allemandi. He alternates voice activity, especially in vocal chamber music, and piano performance. He is mainly devoted to the cooperation and support of singers, instrumentalists and chamber ensembles in concerts, competitions and masterclasses. He is a piano collaborator in the Conservatories ‘F. Venezze’ of Rovigo and ‘A. Buzzolla’ of Adria, passing several selections. He teaches piano at the Arkè Study Center in Conselve / Arre (PD).
