 summer Night's Dream in Aix and to present the first retransmission of thi
 s production in China.\n\nIn a forest near Athens\, during the night of th
 e solstice\, the worlds mingle. There is the kingdom of fairies\, troubled
  by the discord between King Oberon and Queen Tytania. But there are also 
 four lovers caught in a desires crossover\, and a group of artisans who ca
 me to rehearse a play away from the city. Thanks to the enchanted juice of
  a flower\, the elf Puck causes confusion and interferes with all these ch
 aracters. Following the dreamlike meanders of one of the most beloved play
 s of Shakespeare\, Benjamin Britten writes a captivating opera\, in which 
 each world is differentiated by an ineffable musical material. For this ly
 rical masterpiece of the twentieth century\, Robert Carsen created an ench
 anting show that made the beautiful evenings of the Festival d’Aix-en-Pr
 ovence in 1991 and 1992\, before his leaving to conquer the world. He is b
 ack in the place where he was born\, this courtyard of the l’Archevêch
 é where the summer night is Provencal and the dream in the open sky.\n\n\
