 ay contradictory&rdquo\; and that she is &ldquo\;destined to be a force in
  the classical music firmament for decades to come&rdquo\;.As soloist/dire
 ctor Alina\, has toured with the Kremerata Baltica\, Britten Sinfonia\, Ac
 ademy of Ancient Music\, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.With regular
  recital partner\, C&eacute\;dric Tiberghien and in solo and chamber music
 \, Alina has appeared at venues including the Wigmore Hall\, Concertgebouw
 \, Mozarteum\, Musikverein\, Carnegie Hall\, Palais des Beaux Arts\, Vanco
 uver Recital Series\, and at festivals including Salzburg\, Verbier\, MDR 
 Musiksommer\, Manchester International\, Lockenhaus and Aldeburgh.Born in 
 Russia\, in 1985\, Alina studied at the Moscow Gnesin School before moving
  with her family to the UK in 1995 where she studied at the Yehudi Menuhin
  School and Royal College of Music\, and was a member of the Kronberg Acad
 emy Masters programme. Alina's teachers include Natasha Boyarsky\, Gordan 
 Nikolitch and Christian Tetzlaff.C&eacute\;dric Tiberghien studied at the 
 Paris Conservatoire with Fr&eacute\;d&eacute\;ric Aguessy and G&eacute\;ra
 rd Fr&eacute\;my and was awarded the Premier Prix in 1992\, at the age of 
 just 17. He was then a prize winner at several major international piano c
 ompetitions (Bremen\, Dublin\, Tel Aviv\, Geneva\, Milan)\, culminating wi
 th the 1st Prize at the prestigious Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris in 1
 998\, alongside with five special awards\, including the Audience Award an
 d the Orchestra Award.Recital plans include several projects at the Wigmor
 e Hall&rsquo\;s prestigious Master Series in London\, performances at the 
 Celebrity Series in Boston\, the International Piano Series at London&rsqu
 o\;s South Bank Centre\, Bunka Kaikan Tokyo and the Piano Series Lyon.C&ea
 cute\;dric Tiberghien is also a dedicated chamber musician\, with regular 
 partners including violinist Alina Ibragimova\, soprano Sophie Karth&auml\
 ;user and cellist Pieter Wispelwey. His passion for chamber music is refle
 cted in numerous recordings &ndash\;&nbsp\; a disc of&nbsp\; songs with te
 xts by Verlaine (Cypres)\, and four projects with Alina Ibragimova\; works
  by Schubert (Hyperion)\, Ravel and Lekeu\, (Hyperion)\, Szymanowski (Hype
