 we invite you to enjoy Cagliostro\, a recently restored German-French movi
 e by Richard Oswald (1929). &laquo\;Cagliostro - Liebe und Leben eines gro
 &szlig\;en Abenteurers&raquo\; (Cagliostro - love and life of a great adve
 nturer) narrates the adventures and swindlings of a famous 18th century cr
 ook and his journeys through Europe.The film will be accompanied live by M
 athieu Regnault\, a French pianist and composer specializing in film music
 \, which will make you feel this special alchemy between cinema and music.
  The Italian adventurer Cagliostro was arrested and held in the Bastille f
 or being involved in the affair of the diamond necklace\, but was acquitte
 d due to lack of evidence. He later visited England from where he left for
  Rome. He was arrested and imprisoned in the Castel Sant&rsquo\;Angelo. He
  was sentenced to death for being a Freemason\, but his sentence was chang
 ed to life imprisonment by the Pope. Cagliostro is a lost film that was pa
 rtially restored recently by the French Cinematheque. Cin&eacute\;-Concert
  - This concept comes from the very beginning of Cinema\, when all films w
 ere silent and so\, accompanied by live music\, generally composed or impr
 ovised for the movie. This long lost tradition\, of cin&eacute\;-concert\,
  got a new birth in France in 1976.
