 elsea de Souza started playing the piano at the age of 5 and gave her firs
 t public performances soon after. Her first major success was at the 1st A
 ll-India Piano Competition organized by the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation\,
  where at the age of 10 she won the first prize in an age group up to 13 y
 ears. Four years later\, she was the runner-up at the 2nd All-India Piano 
 Competition &ndash\; at 14\, the youngest contestant in an age group up to
  30 years. She was subsequently invited to Germany by jury member Sheila A
 rnold\, Professor of Piano at the Hochschule f&uuml\;r Musik in K&ouml\;ln
 \, Germany\, for three consecutive summer scholarships.Chelsea has been de
 clared a Steinway Young Artist\, and was the winner of the Global Scholar 
 &ndash\; Education World Young Achievers Award. She has given concerts in 
 Belgium\, Germany and USA and has performed as a soloist with the Bombay C
 hamber Orchestra. Lastsummer she embarked on a tour of India\, performing 
 in Kolkata\, Bengaluru and Goa. Her concerts were highly acclaimed in revi
 ews in several newspapers including the Navhind Times\, the Herald and the
  DNA\, as well as in online blogs.&nbsp\;Chelsea is currently pursuing a D
 ouble Degree at the Oberlin College of Arts and Sciences and Conservatory 
 of Music\, majoring in academics\, piano performance and vocal accompanyin
 g with a minor in voice.
