 t major Op. 83\n\nLauded for her emotional expressivity and her ability to
  “sing at the piano”\, US based Indian pianist Chloe de Souza is creat
 ing a name for herself as a soloist and chamber musician. Winner of two Al
 l-India piano competitions\, she has performed internationally across Indi
 a\, France and the United States. Recent appearances include solo recitals
  for the Roland Park Place Retirement Community in Baltimore and the Chape
 l Hill Piano Salon Concert Series in North Carolina\, as well as solo and 
 chamber performances at the Con Brio Music Festival in Mumbai\, India\, an
 d the “M.U.S.i.C - Stars in the Classics” concert series in Cleveland.
 \n\nA consummate chamber musician\, de Souza has accompanied recitals in v
 oice\, strings\, and winds\, and continues to coach singers and chamber mu
 sic groups during her doctoral degree at the Peabody Institute of John Hop
 kins. As an avid performer of contemporary classical music as well\, she h
 as appeared in concert with Eastman’s renowned contemporary group Musica
  Nova and as a featured soloist in Schnittke’s Concerto Grosso with Ober
 lin’s Contemporary Music Ensemble. Along with her sister\, pianist Chels
 ea de Souza\, she has completed multiple tours across India\, performing v
 oice and piano recitals and teaching masterclasses. She has a keen interes
 t in educating young musicians\, currently serving on the music faculty at
  the Gilman School in Baltimore\, and having taught for Oberlin Conservato
 ry’s Autistic Scholarship Program.\n\nDe Souza was elected in 2020 to th
 e American Honor Society\, Pi Kappa Lambda. She holds an L.T.C.L. (Licenti
 ate of the Trinity College of Music\, London) diploma\, a Bachelor’s deg
 ree from the Oberlin Conservatory in Piano and Vocal Performance\, and a M
 aster’s in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music as a recip
 ient of the Cecile Staub Genhart Scholarship. She is currently working tow
 ards her doctorate in piano performance at the Peabody Institute\, where s
 he teaches classes for the keyboard studies department.\n\nInspired by the
  diversity of audiences she has connected with through her performances\, 
 de Souza continues to take her musical endeavors beyond the concert hall\,
  through salon concerts and outreach in retirement homes\, churches\, and 
 schools. A passionate educator\, she hopes to one day start a festival wit
 h the goal of cultivating young talent in India.\n\n
