  after Bizet's opera\n\nDan Zhu is widely recognized as one of the finest 
 Chinese musicians on the international stage today\, praised as “an arti
 st of affecting humility and beautiful tone production” by The Strad mag
 azine\, performing internationally in North America\, Europe\, and Asia. H
 is recent triumphant performance with the Boston Symphony at the Tanglewoo
 d Festival has been raved by the critics as "truly brilliant\, compelling\
 , and polished". A native of Beijing\, Zhu made his first public appearanc
 e at the age of nine\, performing Mendelssohn’s violin concerto with the
  China Youth Chamber Orchestra. At age twelve he entered the Central Conse
 rvatory of Music in Beijing\, where he studied with Xiao-zhi Huang. Four y
 ears later he was awarded the Alexis Gregory Scholarship to study with Luc
 ie Robert at Mannes College of Music in New York. He made his Carnegie Hal
 l debut with Tchaikovsky violin concerto at the age of eighteen\, and won 
 prizes at several prestigious international competitions\, including Bruss
 el’s Reine Elisabeth\, Montréal\, Sendai and the China International. H
 is mentors have included Ivry Gitlis\, Gerard Poulet\, and Aaron Rosand.\n
 \nOver the course of his career the pianist Oliver Triendl has earned a re
 putation as a highly versatile performing artist. Some 80 CD recordings at
 test to his work as an advocate of rarely performed repertoire from the cl
 assical and romantic eras as well as to his commitment to contemporary wor
 ks. As a soloist\, Triendl has performed together with many renowned orche
 stras. In 2006\, Triendl founded the Kempten Classix International Chamber
  Music Festival in Kempten in Bavaria’s Allgäu region. Triendl\, a nati
 ve of Mallersdorf\, Bavaria\, where he was born in 1970\, and a prizewinne
 r at many national and international competitions\, studied under Rainer F
 uchs\, Karl-Heinz Diehl\, Eckart Besch\, Gerhard Oppitz and Oleg Maisenber
 g. He has concertized with success at festivals and in many of Europe’s 
 major music centers as well as in North and South America\, South Africa\,
