While the artists first met while at the IMFP in Provence in 2004 and had shared a few stages together as part of various different projects (Bennumant quartet, Kempachy quartet, Oki Doky, etc.), they formed the ” EleKtriP” in 2015, around the compositions of Benjamin Guimbert (Guitarist-composer) as well as a few covers like that of “Chromazone” by Mike Stern and “Stratus” by Billy Cobham. The EleKtriP project leans towards a jazzyfusion groove that doesn’t seek to be labelled, but to put forth to large audiences a sort of eclectic and energetic music coupled with some vocal gimmicks.
