DESCRIPTION:In a programme of Mendelssohn: Cello Sonata No. 2 in D major Op
 . 58\; Clara Schumann: Three Romances for piano\, Op. 11\; Brahms: Interme
 zzi for piano Op. 117 and Shostakovich: Sonata for Cello and Piano in D mi
 nor Op. 40\n\nGeorge Cooke (cello) has performed at venues such as the Wig
 more Hall and Holywell Music Room in the UK\, and across Europe at the fes
 tivals of Chigiana\, Ischia and Santa Cecilia. He has broadcast as compose
 r and performer for BBC Radio 3\, BBC Radio 4\, and Belgian Radio 1. He co
 mpleted his Masters at the Royal College of Music in 2015\, after graduati
 ng with a First in Music from Oxford University.\n\nGeorge has recently un
 dertaken a private course of study with renowned guru and sarode-player Pr
 attyush Banerjee\, in Kolkata. Following performances in Varanasi and Agra
 \, his developing experience of Hindustani classical music will enrich his
  cello playing and compositions for award-winning film directors in London
 .\n\nFrederic Bager (piano) received a First Class MA from the Royal&nbsp\
 ;Academy of Music in London\, where he studied with Ian Fountain. At the A
 cademy\, Frederic won a multitude of awards including the Sterndale Bennet
 t Prize. He is now Hodgson Fellow of the Academy.\n\nPreviously he studied
  with Andrew Ball at the Royal College of Music\, London\, graduating with
  a First and receiving the Kendall Taylor Prize. He was a keyboard finalis
 t in BBC Young&nbsp\;Musician 2010.\n\nRecent appearances include St James
 ’ Piccadilly (London)\, Colston Hall (Bristol)\, as well as Wigmore Hall
  (London) in a masterclass with Richard Goode. As a beneficiary of the Mig
 rosKulturprozent programme\, Frederic frequently performs in Switzerland\,
  including at Salle Métropole\, Lausanne and as resident artist at the Da
 vos Festival. He has performed live on Swiss classical radio channel Espac
 e 2.\n\n
