 No. 13Karl Lutchmayer enjoys an international career as both\, a pianist a
 nd lecturer. He studied at the Royal College of Music where he won numerou
 s prizes and scholarships. Karl has given recitals and performed chamber m
 usic and concertos throughout the world\, working with conductors includin
 g Lorin Maazel and Sir Andrew Davis\, and performed at all the major Londo
 n concert halls. His research interests include the piano music and pianis
 m of Busoni\, The Creative Transcription Network and the history of piano 
 recital programming. He has recently returned from a guest professorship i
 n Ithaca\, New York\, and is currently professor of performing practice at
  Trinity College of Music. He is also a regular guest lecturer at the Manh
 attan and Julliard Schools in New York\, and at the Wigmore Hall\, London\
 , and writes a weekly column for Time Out magazine.
