In this show\, you will laugh at “Raymond”\, a typical old French man visiting India\, before admiring the Kathputli dancing on the charming and groovy melodies of sita r and tabla.\nSabrina Arusam\, puppets \;\nDhruv Bedi\, sitar \;\n Saptak Sharma\, percussions\, tabla\n\nIn association with Alliance Franç aise de Pune\n\nSabrina Arusam started her career with classical drama and clown tradition. It is when she met Greta Bruggman and Sylvie Osman (Arke tal Company) that she took a new path in puppet mastery. Since then\, she has participated in many training programmes with renowned puppeteers. Now a professional puppeteer\, Sabrina has worked with several companies (Cie Arketal\, Ezéquiel Garcia Romeu\, Cie La Main Verte). In 2011\, after att ending a Kathputli masterclass in Udaipur with LalaBhaat\, she grew a stro ng interest in Indian culture and arts. During four years she has develope d Franco-Indian artistic projects and created the show for children titled “Ahimsa” (based on Gandhi’s philosophy). Now based in Hyderabad\, s he is working also with the renowned Mime Madhu.\n\nDhruv Bedi was born in 1990 in a family of musicians. He started learning sitar from his father Jagdeep Singh Bedi and pursues today his training under the guidance of th e sitar maestro Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee. An approved graded Artist in the field of Hindustani Music of All India Radio and Prize winner of All I ndia Radio competition in 2010\, Dhruv Bedi is recognized as a promising a rtist in his field. He has already performed in many prestigious venues in India (NCPA in Mumbai\, Delhi Jazz Festival\, Vishnu Digambar Jayanti San geet Samarohin Delhi) and abroad (Ethno Music Festival in Sweden\, Utsav M usic Festival in USA\, the Darbar festival in London). Parallel to his cla ssical career\, Dhruv has developed a number of collaborations with musici ans from various traditions (Carnatic\, Jazz\, Russian\, Swedish folk).\n\ nSaptak Sharma is an upcoming tabla exponent of the famous Ajrada traditio n. Practising tabla since the age of 4\, he has been learning from Ustad A kram Khan for the past 9 years. He has already performed on various stages across the country and received the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy A ward in 2014 and the Bal Shree award in the year 2007.
