 Op. 51\n\nThe Kodály Quartet from Budapest has continued to exemplify the
  greatest standards of the rich Hungarian musical tradition which it has c
 arried on with such extraordinary distinction throughout the world for ove
 r four decades of international appearances.\n\n\n\n\n\nAttila Falvay was 
 a prizewinner at the Szigeti International Violin Competition and the Huba
 y Competition. He completed a post graduate course conducted by Prof. Jose
 f Sívó at the Academy of Music\, Vienna and joined the Kodály Quartet i
 n 1980 as leader.\n\nFerenc Bangó is a prizewinner of National and Intern
 ational competitions. He has recently joined the Kodály Quartet as second
  violinist.\n\nJános Fejérvári completed violin and viola studies at th
 e Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest. While studying\, he attended chamber m
 usic classes conducted by György Kurtág and András Schiff. Between 1981
  and 1985\, he played at the Budapest Opera as the leader of the viola sec
 tion.\n\nGyörgy Éder studied cello in Prof. Ede Banda's class at the Fer
 enc Liszt Academy of Music. He was principal cellist of the Budapest Symph
 ony Orchestra and later the Budapest Festival Orchestra for several years.
  He has made recordings for the Hungaroton\, Teldec and Naxos labels.
