 : Piano quintet Op. 81The Kod&aacute\;ly Quartet from Budapest has continu
 ed to exemplify the greatest standards of the rich Hungarian musical tradi
 tion which it has carried on with such extraordinary distinction throughou
 t the world over four decades of international appearances. The original Q
 uartet was founded in 1966 by four students of the Ferenc Liszt Academy in
  Budapest as a continuation of the great Hungarian string quartet traditio
 n. In 1968\, the ensemble\, called the 'Sebesty&eacute\;n Quartet'\, won t
 he first prize at the International Leo Weiner String Quartet Competition 
 in Budapest. By 1971\, the Quartet had established an international reputa
 tion\, and in that year changed its name to 'Kod&aacute\;ly Quartet' in ho
 nour of the outstanding twentieth-century Hungarian composer. The present 
 members of Kod&aacute\;ly Quartet have performed with many great musicians
  like Bruno Canino\, Milan Turkovic\, Mikl&oacute\;s Per&eacute\;nyi\, Zol
 t&aacute\;n Kocsis\, Michel Portal\, Dimitry Ashkenazy\, Michel B&eacute\;
 roff\, Jeremy Menuhin\, Tam&aacute\;s V&aacute\;s&aacute\;ry\, Jen&otilde\
 ; Jand&oacute\; and Dimitris Sgouros. For this tour they are joined by vir
 tuoso Hungarian pianist\, Bal&aacute\;zs F&uuml\;lei who studied at the Fr
 anz Liszt academy in Budapest and the Buchmann-Mehta school in Tel-Aviv. F
 &uuml\;lei has won many competitions.
