 HELL has been described by The Times as 'one of the UK's foremost violinis
 ts’. Her performances as soloist and chamber musician in some 50 countri
 es in a wide repertoire are frequently broadcast including the BBC Proms\,
  ABC\, Bayerisher Rundfunk and Italian TV. She has given many recitals in 
 major venues including Lincoln Center New York\, Wigmore and South Bank Ce
 ntre London\, Vienna\, Moscow\, Singapore\, Seoul Centre for the Arts and 
 Sydney Opera House and performed as soloist with orchestras including BBC 
 National Orchestra of Wales\, Royal Philharmonic\, Czech Radio and St Pete
 rsburg Philharmonic. Mitchell’s acclaimed discography for which she has 
 been nominated for Grammy and BBC Music Awards\, includes works written fo
 r her by composers such as Sir James MacMillan and 'Violin Songs' for Divi
 ne-Art (including Elgar short pieces) "a collection of small gems\, wonder
 fully played" The Strad. She devised the Red Violin festival under Lord Me
 nuhin’s patronage\, the first international eclectic celebration of the 
 fiddle across the arts and is also Director of the London Chamber Ensemble
 . Madeleine Mitchell won the Tagore Gold Medal as Foundation Scholar at t
 he Royal College of Music where she is a Professor and the prestigious Ful

 utist and composer Gary Schocker in the 2014 world premiere of several new
  works at the National Flute Association conference in Chicago. Having dev
 oted herself to the study of the piano transcriptions of Sergei Prokofiev
 ’s ballets\, Evelyn has presented lecture-recitals on the topic at the C
 ollege Music Society Great Lakes conference in 2013 and at the Illinois St
 ate Music Teachers Association conference in November 2015.\n\nShe enjoys 
 teaching and has served as an instructor at Northwestern University\, Chic
 ago’s Merit School of Music and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. In
  the year ahead she will join forces with the students of Child’s Play (
 India) Foundation. She credits her abilities as a pedagogue to outstanding
  tutelage\, which includes master classes with celebrated pianists Leon Fl
 eischer\, Richard Goode\, Natalya Antonova and Vladimir Feltsman.\n\nEvely
 n completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Bienen School of Mu
 sic at Northwestern University where she studied with Dr. Sylvia Wang as t
 he recipient of a full scholarship. She also holds degrees from the Univer
 sity of Iowa and Mumbai University.\n\n
