Massimo Quarta is considered one of the most important Italian violinists of his generation. His international career blossomed after he won the Paganini competition in 1991 in Genoa. His subsequent recording of all six Paganini violin concertos on Paganini’s own ‘Il Canone’ violin has been unequalled in terms of virtuosity and musical insight even to this day. He has appeared with most leading orchestras in the world and with eminent chamber music partners in the most important venues. Massimo also follows a busy conducting and teaching career. He is professor at the Swiss Conservatoire in Lugano and artistic director of Orchestra of the National University of Mexico.
Simonetta Tancredi, a native of Napoli, enjoys a very busy career as a pianist, répétiteur, teacher and chamber musician. She is in demand by leading opera houses and concert halls all over the world. As a language coach she worked with Placido Domingo on his album of Neapolitan songs released on Deutsche Grammophon.
