 \nThe Israeli violinist and violist Nurit Stark studied at the Rubin Acade
 my Tel Aviv with Haim Taub\, at the Juilliard School New York with Robert 
 Mann\, Musikhochschule Cologne with the Alban Berg Quartet and at Universi
 tät der Künste Berlin with Ilan Gronich where she graduated from her mas
 ter studies.\n\nShe has made solo appearances with orchestras such as the 
 Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta\, Münchner Radio Orchestra under Dm
 itry Sitkovetsky\, Bremen Philharmonic\, Sao Paolo Symphonic Orchestra\, t
 he Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra\, Chamber Orchestra of Mantova and the Sou
 th-West German chamber orchestra Pforzheim.\n\nHer love and dedication for
  contemporary music has led her to perform many world premieres and to col
 laborate with composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina\, György Kurtag\, Vikto
 r Suslin\, Valentin Silvestrov\, Georg Nussbaumer\, Deirdre Gribbin and Er
 nstalbrecht Stiebler.\n\nSince 2005\, Nurit Stark has been taking part in 
 avant-garde stage projects in theaters such as Schaubuehne Berlin\, Volksb
 uehne Berlin\, State Theatre Stuttgart\, Bobigny Paris\, Burgtheater Vienn
 a\, Kammerspiele Munich and Le Maillon Strasbourg\, developing performance
 s which integrate elements of music and theatre. She has recorded works by
  Feruccio Busoni\, George Enescu\, Clara &amp\; Robert Schumann for violin
  / viola and piano with Cedric Pescia for Claves Records and chamber works
  by Olivier Messiaen for Genuin Records. For BIS records she has recorded 
 chamber works by Viktor Suslin and Sofia Gubaidulina and “Kafka Fragment
 s” by György Kurtag with Caroline Melzer. Her latest recording of works
  by Ernest Bloch for violin and piano together with Cedric Pescia appears 
 in January 2018.&nbsp\; Nurit Stark plays a 1710 Pietro Guarneri Violin fr
 om Mantua.\n\nCédric Pescia\, pianist of dual French and Swiss nationalit
 y\, was born in Lausanne. He studied with Christian Favre at the Conservat
 oire de Musique in Lausanne\, later with Dominique Merlet at the Conservat
 oire de Musique in Geneva where he earned a Premier Prix de Virtuosité wi
 th honours and completed his studies with Klaus Hellwig at the Universitä
 t der Künste in Berlin. In addition he has studied with Pierre-Laurent Ai
 mard\, Daniel Barenboim\, Henri Barda\, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau\, Ivan Kl
 ansky\, Christian Zacharias\, Ilan Gronich and with the Alban Berg Quartet
 .&nbsp\; Cédric Pescia was the brilliant First Prize Winner (Gold Medalis
 t) at the 2002 Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition in Sa
 lt Lake City (USA). Concert tours have taken him throughout Europe\, China
 \, South America\, North Africa and to the USA.\n\nCédric&nbsp\;Pescia is
  founding member and artistic director of the Lausanne chamber music serie
 s Ensemble enScène. In 2005 and 2007 he served as a jury member in the Cl
 ara Haskil Competition in Vevey and is invited for master classes in the U
 SA and in Europe\, especially at the prestigious Accademia Pianistica Inte
 rnazionale "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola\, Italy. In 2012 he was appoint
 ed professor for piano at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève. In 2007\,
  Cédric Pescia was honoured with the Prix Musique de la Fondation Vaudois
 e pour la culture. He was also a prizewinner at the Bourse de la Fondation
  Leenaards in Lausanne. For Claves Records\, AEON\, La Dolce Volta\, BIS\,
  Genuin\, he has recorded works by J. S. Bach\, F. Couperin\, Beethoven\, 
 Schubert\, Schumann\, Debussy\, Busoni\, Enescu\, Messiaen\, Cage\, Suslin
  and Gubaidulina. These CDs have been widely acclaimed by the press and pu
 blic.\n\n\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;
