 a\, Olivier Patey is a prizewinner of the ARD International Music Competit
 ion and the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition. Hehas regularly 
 performed with the orchestra of the Opéra de Paris\, with the OrchestrePh
 ilharmonique de Radio France\, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra\, the
  Munich Kammerorchester\, Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Prague Philharmon
 ic Orchestra. He was Principal clarinetist of Mahler Chamber Orchestra and
  the Rotterdam Philharmonic before joining Concertgebouworkest. Patey is a
 lso active as a chamber musician and is involved with the Artie’s Festiv
 al in India as a co-founder of the Arties Records label. Along with his wi
 fe Diet Tilanus and other colleagues from the Concertgebouw orchestra in A
 msterdam\, they have recorded this performance and have kindly sent it to 
 us.\n\nGolijov’s amazing piece is based on Isaac The Blind\, the great k
 abbalist rabbi of Provence\, who dictated a manuscript in which he asserte
 d that all things and events in the universe are product of combinations o
 f the Hebrew alphabet's letters. The three movements represent three langu
