DESCRIPTION:In a programme of J. S. Bach: Italian Concerto\, BWV 971\; F. S
 chubert: 4 impromptus\, Op. 90 and F. Liszt: Sonata\n\nBalázs Fülei was 
 born in Kecskemét\, Hungary in 1984 and started to learn music at the age
  of eight. His first teacher was Mrs Katonáné Szabó Judit and later at 
 the Bartók Conservatory\, Budapest\, his professors were Prof. Gábor Eck
 hardt and Prof. Balázs Réti.  He later got his diploma with honours at 
 the Franz Liszt Academy of Music\, Budapest\, under Prof. György Nádor\,
  Prof. Márta Gulyás and Prof. Balázs Réti. In 2009-10 he studied in Te
 l Aviv at The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music with Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky.
  He received his doctorate degree (DLA) ”summa cum laude” in 2013.\n\n
 Mr Fülei was a prize winner at a number of national and international com
 petitions: in 2003 he was first prize winner at the 10th National Piano Co
 mpetition of the conservatories and the 10th Andor Földes Piano Competiti
 on. In 2005 he was winner of the 43th “Arcangelo Speranza” Internation
 al Piano Competition in Taranto\, Italy and then he won prizes in Milan\, 
 Cagliari and Moscow. He was selected twice to be soloist of the New Master
 s on Tour concert series by the International Holland Music Sessions. In 2
 006 he recorded Chopin and Liszt ballades on DVD in Tokyo. Recently at the
  Paisiello Festival in South Italy\, he played the composer’s piano conc
 ertos on fortepiano. Mr Fülei was invited by several Hungarian orchestras
  and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. He has given concerts in nearly al
 l European countries\, in the United States\, Japan\, China\, India\, Isra
 el and Australia. In 2010\, he was awarded with the Junior Prima Prize\, t
 he most prestigious award in Hungary for young musicians\, in 2011 the Art
 isjus-prize\, and in 2012\, the award of The Solti Foundation.\n\nAs a pro
 fessor\, Mr Fülei has given master classes in Hungary and in the TCU Scho
 ol of Music\, Texas. Since 2012 Balázs Fülei has been an assistant profe
 ssor of the Liszt Academy\, Budapest.\n\n
