Antonio Spaccarotella born in 1984, studied jazz accordion with Prof. Renzo Ruggeri at the conservatory of music G. BRAGA of Teramo (Italy) where he also studied history of jazz, contemporary arrangement for small and medium-sized formations and electronic music.
Despite his young age, he combines much musical activity with many projects of varied artistic extraction. After the new made work “non c’è tempo”, he continues recording new compositions and arrangements, presented in the latest tour in Brazil. He blends a lot of musical kinds like jazz, French, tango, experimental music and is involved in projects like: Solo Accordion Project (Accordion and multimedia – experimentation in the tango), La Neve / Spaccarotella duet (saxophone and accordion), original repertoire (non cè tempo, produced by NSJ Productions).
He is a specialist for the disciplines in World Music and teacher of modern and classical accordion in the – Nuove Armonie Musical Institute (Italy). He periodically holds masterclasses in Italy and abroad and has several collaborations with illustrious names in the international accordion world. He is one of the specialized teachers on global education and uses new methods of teaching, applied to the Accordion.
Antonio Spaccarotella is involved with public and private institutes in Italy and abroad. He holds seminars and masterclasses at Shanghai Normal University (China), Department of Music of the of Paraiba Federal University (Brazil), Conservatory of Music P. I. Tchaikovsky (Moscow). He has performed in Italy and abroad with tours in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Scotland, England, New Zealand, China, Canada and USA.
