Carlos Marecos: Cradle Song and Euri co Carrapatoso: Le Tombeau de Germaine Tailleferre\n\nAntónio Carrilho pe rforms as a soloist\, chamber musician\, and conductor with numerous ensem bles and orchestras around the world in works ranging from the pre-Baroque to the avant-garde. \; He has recorded on the Naxos\, Encherialis\, a nd Numérica labels\, as well as for the Cultural Ministry of Amazonia (Br azil)\, Arte (France)\, Public Television and the Arts Ministry / Movement for Musical Patrimony of Portugal. \; In addition to his prizes at th e 2001 Moeck Solo Recorder Competition in the UK and the 1999 Solo Recorde r Competition in Haifa\, Israel\, he was also awarded an audience prize as well as prizes for best interpretations of 17th and 20th Century repertoi re at other international competitions. \; Along with his global perfo rmances and masterclasses Mr. Carrilho is also on faculty in his native Po rtugal at ESART\, the Superior School of Applied Arts where he teaches bot h recorder and chamber music.\n\nThe Lisbon-based American flutist Kathari ne Rawdon is a Powell Artist\, representing the pre-eminent American flute company as performer and master class teacher. She was Co-Principal Flute of the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa in Lisbon for 25 years\, performin g solo concertos by Bach\, Vivaldi\, Boulez\, and Delgado with the princip al Portuguese orchestras\, orchestras in New York\, and in California. She has performed by invitation at two National Flute Association conventions \; as a chamber musician she was presented twice at Weill Recital Hall and won First Prize in the Yellow Springs and Artists International Debut Com petition. She has performed with pianist Raj Bhimani in New York\, Califor nia\, Paris\, India\, and in Portugal for the Portuguese National Radio. S he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Pomona College\, with honors from the Man hattan School of Music\, and was a Thomas J. Watson Fellow.\n\nPianist Raj Bhimani's concerts are "virtuosic\, heartfelt and eloquent\," writes New York Times critic Michael Kimmelman. Time Out NY noted him for being a "gi fted and highly expressive pianist." Mr. Bhimani performs across North Ame rica\, Europe and India\, and appears regularly at New York’s Lincoln Ce nter for the Performing Arts. He has released CDs of Schubert and Thérès e Brenet on the Delatour Label\, and two more of Brahms and Brenet for the Editions de la Musique Fabrique. He has taught at NYU\, Concordia College \, and the 92nd Street Y.
