Frédéric Pelassy is one of the most recognised French violinists internationally. Over the last 20 years, he has performed in over 50 countries and on every continent. At 12 years of age, he finished his undergraduate studies and performed Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole. He was already a laureate of Fondation Menuhin, Festival Musical d’Automne des Jeunes Interprètes, Fondation Cziffra, SACEM and Concours International Tibor Varga by 1989, at the age of 16 years, when he made his first recording. He is considered as the reference artist for Bach – capable of "elevating the music to celestial spheres" according to the 2010 bulletin of the Neue BachGesellschaft, but also a big romantic.
