Arties Festival is now in its 10th edition. Its popularity has grown over the years, and it brings the finest young musicians to India to perform for a varied audience.

Mathilde Borsarello Herrmann started studying the violin from the age of five with her father. After being awarded the first prize in Suzanne Gessner’s class, she later studied chamber music with Paul Boufil and joined the violin class of Patrice Fontanarosa and Jean-Jacques Kantarow at the Paris Conservatoire.
Hugues Borsarello was born into a family of musicians and started violin at a young age with his father. His virtuosity gives him the opportunity to play concertos with orchestra but Chamber music remains a major focus of his life as a musician.
Marie Chilemme started playing the viola at the age of three. In 2004, she graduated in Viola, Chamber Music and Music Theory at the Conservatoire National de Toulouse. Marie performs as soloist and in chamber music groups, in several festivals in Europe. Currently, she is studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin (Germany) in the class of Tabea Zimmermann.
Nicolas Bône is the principal violist of the French National Orchestra and he additionally occupied the post of viola soloist of the European Chamber Orchestra between 2000 and 2005. He is a regular guest at various music festivals in Europe and has given numerous concerts, often broadcasted and recorded on CD. Since September 2009, he is a professor at Paris National Conservatoire.
Karen Vourc’h is an eclectic artist appreciated for the beauty of her voice and the sensitivity of her interpretations. In 2009, she won the top Award del Duca, from the Academie des Beaux-Arts and the Revelation Classique award from les Victoires de la Musique. She also won several international awards including Toulouse, New Voices, Verviers and Montserrat Caballe.
Claudine Simon took her first steps as a pianist, by creating melodies using a battery operated toy piano. This spontaneous approach allowed her to explore the universe of sound in the way that a child explores verbal communication. She has studied with Jean-François Heisser, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Maria Joao Pires, Vladimir Krainev, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Anne Queffelec, Tatiana Zelikman as well as Alain Planès, Giovanni Bellucci, Emile Naoumov and Bruno Rigutto. As a chamber musician she performs with her Trio Estampe and as a soloist with various orchestras.
Gauthier Herrmann started studying cello at the age of eight with Nicole Daihnaut. In 1998, he joined the class of Marcel Bardon in the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (CNR) where he obtained a first prize in cello in 2000. Gauthier was quickly destined for chamber music and founded the Trio con Fuoco with whom he has won numerous prizes.
