Mazda Hall

The Mazda Hall is used by the Poona Music Society for most of its programmes. These include live recitals and concerts, listening sessions of recorded music and video screenings. The hall is situated in the premises of the Dastur Primary School located at 2 Lt. Col. Tarapore Road, Pune 411001.

The Dastur Schools Trust and the Poona Music Society came to an understanding in 2001 to allow the Society to refurbish the already existing Mazda hall, situated in their premises, to make it suitable for chamber music concerts. With financial assistance from corporate houses, trusts and individuals, the Mazda hall was climate controlled and acoustically panelled to be ready for the first piano recital there by Claudius Tanski in December 2001. The Society’s Blüthner concert grand piano is permanently housed at the Mazda hall.
