Lara Saldanha is a 23-year-old Indian-American pianist. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University in June 2015 Magna Cum Laude, studying with Alan Chow. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music at The New School’s Mannes College of Music in New York City, studying with Vladimir Valjarevič. She has also studied with Serguei Milstein at the Geneva Conservatory of Music in Switzerland, Inna Terekhov, and Neya Korsantia.
Lara has been a prize winner at numerous international competitions and has performed worldwide. She also has a growing piano studio in New York City, where she teaches young pianists. She also believes in making classical music accessible to all, and enjoys bringing concerts to new audiences—to young people through Groupmuse classical house concerts as well as the elderly through performances in retirement communities.
