Philippe Aerts is a Belgian jazz double bassist. He taught himself guitar and electric bass guitar when he was 11 and started playing the double bass at the age of 14. He won the Belgian Golden Django in 2002 for best Belgian artist.
Raphaëlle Brochet’s deep immersion in Carnatic Music for 15 years gives her voice and repertoire a unique touch that Philippe embraces beautifully with his impressive technique. Raphaëlle Brochet and Philippe Aerts released their album “KALAMAMBA” (Igloomondo, October 2017), a mix of Jazz and Indian Music. Raphaëlle and Philippe focus on creating a sound scape of experiences rather than just a song.
