Born in 1993 in Rome, Federico Bucaioni began his studies early, supported by his family particularly interested in culture and music. He brought on his studies with M° Lucia Bonfiglio, who for many years was his only teacher. Their artistic collaboration still goes on today. In 2016, after the first months in Conservatorio Santa Cecilia, in Rome, he has been selected to play pieces composed by Maximilian Reger to commemorate the centenary of the composer’s death, and in the same year, he was invited to play in the hall Sala delle armi of Palazzo Sforza Cesarini in Genzano di Roma, as an opening to the concerts of the Accademia degli Sfaccendati. During his studies, he attended numerous masterclasses of distinguished piano professors such as Pierluigi Camicia, Roberto Prosseda, Irene Veneziano, Drafi Kalman and Bruno Canino. In 2020, he graduated at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, under Maestro Riccardo Marini and Maestro Laura Mattei with the highest marks. He has performed in prestigious venues in Italy and abroad, such as Palazzo Leti Sansi in Spoleto, Villa San Giacomo in Santa Margherita Ligure, Teatro Accademia degli Avvaloranti in Città della Pieve, Auditorium San Francesco in Norcia, Palazzo Sforza Cesarini in Genzano di Roma, Teatro Verdi in Sassari. In 2021, as a grand prize winner, he was invited to play in Slovenia in the Lake Salon of the grand Hotel Toplice, in Bled, where he played pieces of Scarlatti, Beethoven and Liszt. He has been awarded with many prizes over the last years.
In 2022, he was directed by M° H. U. Passarella to perform works of Luis Bacalov, J. Lamarque Pons, G. Matos Rodriguez and M° Passarella himself, starting an artistic collaboration that still goes on today. They recently performed together in Teatro Forum in Rome, playing with the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema.
Gioia Barbera was born in Rome, Italy, in February, 2001. She began studying piano at the age of 7 with M° Eleonora Orlando. She has been awarded with many prizes over the last years in many competitions in Italy and abroad.
She has performed in festivals, organised by Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome and other public organizations, in several concert halls in Italy and abroad. During her studies she attended numerous masterclasses of distinguished International pianists, including: Giovanni Bellucci, Enrico Pace, Boris Petrushansky, Roberto Plano, Igor Roma, Franco Scala and Giorgia Tomassi. In 2019, she graduated from Liceo Scientifico Statale Democrito, and, at the same time, she was attending the Three-Year Academic Course at Santa Cecilia Conservatory, Rome, Italy. During December 2019, she got selected to perform for the Human Rights Day “La donna e la Rivoluzione” (Women and Revolution), at the Academic Hall of Santa Cecilia Conservatory, Roma, Italy. During July 2021, she graduated, obtaining the First Level Piano Academic Degree at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, Roma, with the highest marks, magna cum laude and honour mention, under the guidance of M° Alessandra Torchiani. Since 2015, she has embarked in artistic partnerships of Chamber music playing regularly in duo, trio, quintets and sextets. She has attended numerous masterclasses of Chamber music of distinguished musicians, including: Veronika Khizanishvili, Roberto Galletto, Maurizio Valentini, Laura Pietrocini and Giacomo Bellucci. She is currently completing her Second Level Piano Academic Degree at the ”Licinio Recife” Conservatory, Frosinone, under the guidance of M° Giorgia Tomassi.
