Having played the flute from a young age Jonathan Bager entered the Royal College of Music, London in 1975 to study with Sebastian Bell. He graduated in 1979 and took up a post as flute and piano teacher at the Akureyri Music School, Iceland. In 1983 he moved to Reykjavik to become a member of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Jonathan played an active part in Reykjavik’s busy musical life, dividing his time between symphony orchestra, opera orchestra, ensemble and recital work, as well as flute teaching in local music schools. A frequent visitor to Pune over the last few years and currently on a nine month assignment for an international bank, Jonathan is delighted, with his friend Kristinn, to take part in the prestigious PMS 2012 concert series.

Kristinn Örn Kristinsson
graduated in piano playing from the Akureyri Music School, Iceland in 1977 and continued his studies at the Reykjavík College of Music, Southern Illinois University and St. Louis Conservatory of Music in the U.S.A. In 1998 he co-founded the Allegro Suzuki Music School of Reykjavik, of which today he is a director. He is also accompanist at the Reykjavík Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts. Kristinn recently founded a concert series in Iceland dedicated to giving performing opportunities to young musicians.
