Based in Pune, the Jazz Isotopes quartet consists of seasoned professional musicians dedicated to the art of interactive jazz. The ensemble’s repertoire traverses the elegance of Swing, the intricate phrasing of Bebop, the vibrant rhythms of Latin jazz, and the complexity of Modern standards. With a focus on high-energy arrangements, the group aims to create an engaging and accessible experience, bridging the gap between the performers and the audience through a shared love for improvisation and groove.
Ajey Deshpande, an Associate of the London College of Music (ALCM) in Jazz Piano Performance, Ajey is a versatile pianist with over 10 years of experience in music pedagogy. Trained in both classical and jazz traditions, he is a prominent performer in the local music scene and beyond.
Rohit Patwardhan, a professional multi-instrumentalist and Director of Woodwinds Music & Events, Pune. His musical journey is dedicated to exploring the stylistic links between Hindustani classical music and Jazz, sharing his expertise through both performance and mentorship.
Aniruddha Gaikwad, having studied under premier musicians in New York City, Aniruddha brings an international perspective to his craft. His improvisational style is defined by an interdisciplinary approach, blending the nuances of Jazz and Hindustani music.
Sagar Inchekar, a versatile session musician whose work spans across jazz, fusion, and Indian classical rhythms. Characterized by an evolving and adaptive rhythmic style, he is deeply involved in Pune’s music community as both a performer and a coach.
Shivangi Kale is a 28-year-old French teacher, singer-songwriter, and music educator from Pune, India, specializing in French language and contemporary music. An alumna of Alliance Française, she won first place while representing India at the Asiapac Vision French Singing Competition in Taiwan , reflecting her passion for language, music, and cultural exchange.
