The highlights of the 2014–15 season include debuts with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio under the baton of Vladimir Fedoseyev, and the Kansai Symphony Orchestra in Japan, with Augustin Dumay. Aged six, she entered the Lysenko Special Music School in Kiev, and only four years later she won her first international competition. She is a prize winner at many international violin competitions and has also won many prestigious awards. Franco-Swiss musician, Miguel da Silva started studying at the Conservatoire of his native city before moving to Paris where he was a student at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. His passion for string quartet led him to found the Ysaÿe Quartet with three of his friends. The Ysaÿe Quartet soon started an international career that led them throughout the world, from Japan to America. This brilliant thirty year career was brought to an end in January 2014. Miguel da Silva has just been appointed Master in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium, where he teaches viola and chamber music.
Natania Hoffman began her cello studies at the age of four. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2014, studying with Troels Svane and Gustav Rivinius. As a soloist, Natania performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra, amongst others. As a chamber musician, Natania has toured Europe, the USA and China, and currently holds scholarships from ‘Villa Musica’ and ‘Live Music Now’ chamber music programmes. Additionally, Natania toured with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and was principal cellist of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra. In September 2015, she started studying at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the direction of Gary Hoffman.
