Shirish Malhotra has been playing the flute for the last 9 years. Largely a self-learner, his method is unique and interesting. He explains, “I don’t have a permanent teacher. I request visiting flautists and international artists to listen to me playing and ask for feedback. I work on their guidance and work very hard to better myself.” This management student from St. Xaviers College has been a part of the Symphony Orchestra of India, Bombay Chambers Orchestra. And was also a visiting artist of Sri Lankan orchestra. He has received full scholarship to attend master classes in Austria and China.

Meagan Alphonso began her musical studies at the age of 12 with her aunt Regina D’Souza and later with Blossom Mendonca from 2009 and passed her DipABRSM and ATCL with Distinction.  She was selected as the Young Musician of the Year 2014, an award granted by the Olga and Jules Craen Foundation (OJCF). She also plays light music in duos, trios and quartets and has performed at several concerts, one of them being at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the World’s first Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s flight into Space. She has also sung for the Living Voices Choir. She also plays the concert pedal harp and has completed her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology with Mumbai University.

Nadine Crasto began learning the piano at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Myrna Fernandes. She completed the LTCL Examination in 2009 at the age of 17 and received two awards for the ATCL Examination the previous year, having achieved the highest marks in Mumbai. She recently graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London. She has participated twice in the All-India MusicQuest Competition achieving gold seals and winning first place in the Jazz and Popular Music section in 2011, as well as in the All-India Con Brio Festival, at which she was a semi-finalist in the year 2010.
