Founded in 2012, the SOI Music Academy was established to provide young musicians in India with access to advanced, world-class music training. Under the artistic direction of Marat Bisengaliev, the Academy follows the renowned Russian Conservatoire method, offering a comprehensive and holistic approach to music education.
Students receive intensive one-on-one instruction on their primary instrument, complemented by piano studies, music theory, music history, and group singing through the Solfeggio method. The curriculum also emphasizes orchestral and chamber music training. The Academy offers instruction across string instruments, select woodwind and brass instruments, piano, and percussion, with all teaching faculty being professional musicians and full-time members of the Symphony Orchestra of India.
Performance lies at the heart of the Academy’s philosophy. Students regularly showcase their talents through the SOI Academy Orchestra, SOI Academy Chorus, and solo recitals, and often perform alongside the Symphony Orchestra of India—gaining invaluable experience within a professional orchestral setting. The Academy has also achieved international recognition, including a successful tour to Abu Dhabi in 2018, as well as numerous awards at international competitions. Many graduates have gone on to study at prestigious conservatories across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
