Hailed by Flute Journal for the ‘great skill and intensity’ of her artistry, Noémi Győri is renowned as soloist and chamber musician on modern and baroque flutes. Her interpretations of a strikingly broad repertoire are built on the unshakeable bedrock of flawless technique, enchanting tonal richness and painstaking scholarly research. They are hallmarked above all by a rare expressive refinement and her ability to communicate a multitude of emotions, qualities that have held audiences spellbound in almost thirty countries worldwide.
In addition to her solo career, Noemi is also principal flautist of the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich and has played as a guest member with the BBC Philharmonic and Vienna State Opera orchestras. She is an Associate Tutor in flute at the Royal Northern College of Music, Tutor at the Junior RNCM and the University of Manchester, and has given masterclasses on three continents.
Noemi has recorded programmes for broadcast by the ORF, Deutschlandfunk, BRF, BBC, WQXR New York, Hungarian Radio, Arte and Mezzo TV. Her critically acclaimed studio recordings include Antonio Nava: Flute and Guitar Duos (2011), Glowing Sonorities (2016), Transforming Traditions (2019), Haydn and Mozart Flute Quartets (2020), Romantic & Virtuoso Music for Flutes and Piano (2022), and Explorations (2023), the latter capturing the essence of playfulness and expressive music-making in works by Schubert, Blahetka, Beethoven and Borne. Noemi is co-author of the ’Classical flute and guitar collection’ released by Doblinger Music Publishing Austria. She served as artistic co-director of the Arcus Temporum 2023 Festival, was artistic director of the classical music series at Ördögkatlan Festival (2019) as well as serving as a founder and artistic co-director of the Hungarian IKZE Contemporary Music Festival for six years, premiering more than 100 works between 2004 and 2009.
In Spring 2018 Noemi launched her ‘Noemi Collection’, a series of collaboratively crafted art objects created with leading designers for flutists and non-musicians alike. Noemi is a Miyazawa Flutes Artist, performing on a Lafin headjoint and a 14K gold Boston flute, sponsored by the Solti and Philip Loubser Foundations. She resides in London with her two daughters and conductor husband, Gergely Madaras.
Mónika Ruth Vida has a special talent as a pianist. From her early childhood she wanted to become a musician. She was 14 years old, when she won her first international piano competition in Serbia. Among her many achievements is her performance in Shanghai at the World Exhibition and an award from the Italian Parliament for her musical work. She has successfully participated in several piano competitions, including being the sole Hungarian artist at the XVIII International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021. In 2020 she received her honours degree and the Hungarian Junior Prima Award. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral studies and raising her 3 little children.
