After a first prize at the Conservatoire National de Région in Paris, he joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris where he studied with Patrice Fontanarosa and created a trio together with David Saudubray (piano) and Gautier Capuçon (cello).
Nicolas Bône was born in Saint-Etienne, France and studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Serge Collot. He went on to complete his studies at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Canada, and in Cremona with Bruno Giuranna. He was a prize winner at the International Competitions of Firenze (1989) and Melbourne (1991) with the Kandinsky piano quartet.
Gauthier Herrmann began studying the cello at the age of eight with Nicole Daihnaut.
