Mark Glover is a performing artist for Sterling Musical Instruments, UK. He resides in Dubai with his wife and daughter, working as Head of Music in a prestigious international school. Prior to this, Mark worked in Singapore, where he was the Principal Study Lecturer of Euphonium at The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and a freelance brass teacher and euphonium soloist. Mark has given premier performances, recitals and master classes around the world. He has performed in the UAE, Brazil, USA, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Taiwan and Australia. He performed to many audiences in South East Asia who had never heard the euphonium before and was instrumental in setting up The Lion City Brass Band in Singapore. He was a finalist in the 2012 International Tuba and Euphonium Conference in Austria and a guest artist during the 2016 conference in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He has performed on both tenor tuba and bass trumpet with The Orchestra of the Music Makers in Singapore. In the UK, Mark had vast success working with special needs children as a classroom music teacher and Head of Music. He was a member of The Virtuosi GUS Brass Band and had particular success as the principal euphonium of The Staffordshire Band during the bands most prolific period where Mark was awarded best soloist prizes in many contests. Mark completed his BMus (Hons) degree at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he studied with Chris Mowat, Richard Adams, Andrew Fawbert and Robert Childs. During his degree, Mark completed an ATCL recital diploma and was fortunate to play with The Tongwynlais Band, Tredegar Town Band and The Cory Band. In April 2018 Mark released his debut solo CD, which is called ‘HUSTLE’. The recording contains Zaidi Sabtu-Ramli’s “Euphoria!” Euphonium Concerto plus many other works which Mark commissioned. Nadine Crasto began learning the piano at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Myrna Fernandes. She graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London, studying under Colin Stone. She studied harpsichord with Carole Cerasi and performed anachronistic chamber works on various historical instruments during her studies in London. Nadine was awarded the Nancy Dickinson Award and the Greta Parkinson Award for good work, conduct and general achievement at the Royal Academy. She completed the LTCL Examination in 2009 at the age of 17 and received two awards for the ATCL Examination the previous year, having achieved the highest marks in Mumbai.
She has participated twice in the All-India Music Quest Competition achieving gold seals and winning first place in the Jazz and Popular Music section in 2011, as well as in the All-India Con Brio Festival, at which she was a semi-finalist in the year 2010. She gave a piano recital at the NCPA Stopgaps Young Talent which received much acclaim, and has been performing at solo and chamber music concerts in London, Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata, Mysore, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune. She has performed at several master classes and piano workshops conducted by Kathryn Stott,TatianaSarkissova, Colin Stone, Mark Troop, Paul Stewart, Christopher Norton, Peter Mack, Scott MacBride Smith, Nelita True, Fareed Curmally, Stephen Kovacevich, Marialena Fernandes and many others.
Nadine has trained, conducted and composed vocal arrangements for choirs, preparing them for competitions and performances since the age of 16. She was a part of the Discover Music Programme of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation and taught music in various schools. She also gives private piano lessons and prepares students for music exams, competitions and performances. A number of her students have achieved distinctions and won prizes.
