Artie’s festival started in India, particularly in Pune. This year the festival was supposed to embark on a world tour of 80 concerts. Needless to say, the Covid-19 Pandemic has played spoilsport for them. These musicians were very disappointed not to travel to India this March.
However, as a gift to us all, they are sending us a recording of this beautiful Piano trio by Mendelssohn which was recorded earlier at Salle Cortot in Paris.
In addition, soprano Anne-Marine Suire will sing for us a Hindi song as an encore.
