Programme – Beethoven: Piano trio Op. 1 No. 1
Beethoven’s first published works were the 3 Piano trios Op. 1. This trio Op. 1 No. 1 was completed by a young Beethoven in Vienna in 1795.
Trio Leos was founded in 2013 by Jean-Michel Dayez with Guillaume Lafeuille, cello and Pablo Schatzman, violin. They take the name from Leos Janacek, but the mainstay of their repertoire is the complete Beethoven trios.
Jean-Michel Dayez has frequently been to India as part of Artie’s festival. He is hugely in demand as a chamber musician, for accompanying singers and also as a soloist and recitalist. We are grateful to him for sharing this performance with us.
